Bamboo cupping jars are a commonly used tool in traditional Chinese medicine cupping therapy, made from bamboo. Here is a detailed introduction:

Materials and Process: Strong, thin bamboo is typically selected and cut into tubes approximately 6-9 cm long. One end is left intact as the base, and the other end forms the jar opening. Diameters are available in 3 cm, 4.5 cm, and 6 cm. During production, the outer green skin and inner membrane are scraped off with a knife, leaving a wall thickness of about 2-3 fen (approximately 0.3-0.5 cm). The jar opening is then smoothed with sandpaper to make it flat and smooth.
