The type of bamboo (such as real bamboo or bamboo charcoal) and the number of tassels will affect the fineness of the foam; it should be gently rinsed with warm water before use and dried after use to prevent moisture.

Tea spoon (bamboo or ivory matcha spoon): Take an appropriate amount of matcha powder (usually 1-2 spoons) from the matcha jar and put it into the tea bowl [2]. The size of the spoon opening determines the amount of powder taken at one time, usually 1-2 spoons (about 2-3g); the material should be smooth to prevent powder from sticking.

Tea bowl (Chawan): Used to hold and drink the prepared matcha. The shape and material of the bowl affect the temperature and taste of the tea soup [3]. Common ceramics include Raku ware, Hagi ware, Karatsu ware, etc.; choose a bowl with moderate thickness and a slightly wider rim to facilitate foaming and observation of the tea foam.
